Bootloader update process

Steps

In case of being asked to update a device's bootloader for whatever reason please try to do it via an OS upgrade first, if it's impossible for whatever reason please follow the following instructions:

Get the necessary software

• 1. The new keonn-kernel.jar => Ask support@keonn.com for it.

  2. A SCP or FTP client, good examples are:

     1. Filezilla

     2. WinSCP

     3. All linux machines come with scp command installed

     4. If you already use PuTTy, check your putty installation for pscp or psftp commands

Steps

• 1. Delete all copies of keonn-kernel.jar in the target device. Possible locations include:

     1. /home/keonn/kernel/lib folder

     2. /home/keonn/kernel/module/app.AdvanNet/lib/

     3. /home/keonn/kernel/module/app.AdvanNet/alternatives/[xxx]/lib/

  2. Upload the provided jar to the target device's /home/keonn/kernel/lib folder
