The AdvanNet FW binary can be upgraded
The AdvanNet Cfg (configuration) files can be upgraded
Requirements
Version of AdvanNet Bootloader 180102+
Version of AdvanNet 2.7.0+
Version of SCloud 4.11.58+
Vesion of AdvanCloud 8630+
AdvanCloud upgrade feature
AdvanCloud platform uses the concept of platform to upgrade different devices. For AdvanNet, the platforms in use are:
advannet: used to upgrade AdvanNet FW binaries
advannetcfg: used to upgrade AdvanNet Cfg files
Upgradeable files will be provided by Keonn, they are regular signed Zip files.
Once zip files are uploaded into AdvanCloud, the upgrade strategy has to be defined. Several strategies exist:
ifnewer: upgrade file is applied whenever the device is using an older version.
restricted: advanced strategy that allows to define in detail the device set where to apply the upgrade. The device set can be defined in terms of:
Device ID
Store
App
Zone
Etc.
Procedure
AdvanCloud Status
AdvanCloud displays the version of the installed AdvanNet FW and AdvanNet Cfg. This appears in the Status tab of the Device page
Upload binaries
The first step is to upload the upgrade binary file into AdvanCloud.
For AdvanNet FW, upgrade files can be downloaded from
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w6mjn7vgm6hcpgs/AABtorp0ucVUH4BMiS-BrVSUa?dl=0
For AdvanNet Cfg, upgrade files will be built by Keonn. Please consult with you Keonn Service Manager or with support@keonn.com
Define strategy
By default the ifnewer strategy is selected. In case greater control is needed select restricted and define the matching patterns for the target devices.
After saving, the new binaries will appear on the list
At this point all devices with matching attributes (strategy) will be upgraded upon reboot.
