use Antenna port / unique antenna port
These parameters define how the system behaves when connected to one or more Secondary units.
In order to trigger an alarm, the AdvanSafe-200 expects at least reads in N (4 by default) different ports/beams (antennas). How combinations of ports and beams increase to N is controlled by use-antenna-port and unique-antenna-port.
use-antenna-port: when enabled the reader RF port is used in the calculation of different antennas.
When enabled example:
antenna 1:1 and antenna 2:1 are considered different
When disabled:
antenna 1:1 and antenna 2:1 are considered equals
antenna 1:1 and antenna 2:2 are considered different
unique-antenna-port: when enabled, in the calculation of the N antennas it is required to have N different antennas sharing the same RF port.
When enabled:
antennas (1:1,1:2,1:3,1:4) define a valid alarm
antennas (1:1,1:2,1:3,2:4) do not define a valid alarm
When disabled:
antennas (1:1,1:2,1:3,1:4) define a valid alarm
antennas (1:1,1:2,1:3,2:4) define a valid alarm
Antenna options
Default Primary antenna configuration can be seen here
The 4 beams in the Primary unit are:
1:1: beam number 1 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:2: beam number 2 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:3: beam number 3 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:4: beam number 4 attached to Primary internal port 1
When a Secondary is connected
The 8 beams in the Primary + Secondary units are:
1:1: beam number 1 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:2: beam number 2 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:3: beam number 3 attached to Primary internal port 1
1:4: beam number 4 attached to Primary internal port 1
2:1: beam number 1 attached to Primary internal port 2 (Secondary RF cable)
2:2: beam number 2 attached to Primary internal port 2 (Secondary RF cable)
2:3: beam number 3 attached to Primary internal port 2 (Secondary RF cable)
2:4: beam number 4 attached to Primary internal port 2 (Secondary RF cable)
