Bluetooth HID Service

Introduction
Bluetooth HID Service offers HID device emulation using bluetooth classic. This is an alternative channel for sending USB HID Service's data.
This functionality is included inside USB HID Service.
Installation
Requirements
This service is compatible with AdvanPay-120, AdvanPay-170, AdvanReader-160.
Old units of AdvanReader-160 will not be able to use this service. To tell if your 160 reader is compatible you will have to be able toYou will need an USB Bluetooth dongle, or adapter. The adapter must be compatible with linux. TP-LINK adapters are tested to work properly.
It will also be necessary to download the Advannet OS upgrade provided in the download section of this page.
A device to send the data. This can be either an Android or IOS device.
Prodecure
First connect the bluetooth adapter to the usb port of the device.
Deploy the Advannet OS Upgrade using the Advannet Bootloader in http://$device-ip:8080/
Follow these instructions for more detailsThe device will resart and the option will become visible inside the USB HID Service.
Usage
Activate the bluetooth checkbox inside the USB HID Service ans save the settings. This may take more time than usual. Make sure that the service is also activated.
(Disclamer: Activating bluetooth will disable sending keystrokes over usb.)In approximately 10 seconds you will find the device listed in the device connections. Tap on the device called "HIDSERVICE_$reader_id" and connect.
USB HID Service will now send keystrokes to the device.
Once connected, Bluetooth Service will stop advertising to other devices and will not accept any new connection, until disconnected or restarted.
Troubleshooting
If you have any problem try persisting the settings in USB HID Service once more, you will have to connect the device again.
If that doesn't work then restart the reader and repeat the previous instruction.

Limitations
If the reader is rebooted then the device will have to connect again to the reader through the device connections list.
Bluetooth HID Service does not provide any security at the moment.
It can only connect to one device at the time.
We recommend to establish connection to only one device. If it is necessary to connect different devices, make sure that the first connection is properly terminated.
